Looking Back on 2025–and Forward to 2026
Introduction
When I started this blog, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I envisioned two possible scenarios: one overly optimistic, where my blog would quickly gain popularity and make me “internet famous” after just a couple of posts, and the other more realistic, where I would enjoy the process in my little corner of the World Wide Web. Now, four months in and approaching the end of 2025, it’s time to reflect on my journey and look forward to 2026.
Milestones and Records from 2025
By December 2025, this blog had reached remarkable milestones, including record-setting traffic for various posts. Here are the top five milestones:
- September 1: First blog post published
- September 9: Blog officially goes live and is promoted
- October 7: Highest views for a single post at 28 views
- Most views in a single month: September (159 views)
- Best performing blog post: "Five Myths About AI and Why They're False."
- Total views this year: 501
- Total blog posts: 19
- Total LinkedIn Posts: 19
- Best performing LinkedIn post: The follow-up post to "ChatGPT is the New Google-So Why Aren't Schools Adapting?", with 901 impressions, posted on November 13th
I'm proud to see how this progress has become something enjoyable for people, and not just a place for me to dump my thoughts. Although some posts were less engaging and poorly timed, I learned what people enjoyed and how to effectively time post subjects.
Goals for 2026:
Just like people set goals for themselves in the new year, I'm setting three major goals for 2026. They cover everything from blog posts, content, and overall growth.
- Goal #1: Publish at least one blog post each week. I want to maintain the momentum of posting once a week for as long as possible.
- Goal #2: Reach 1,000 total views by the end of Q2/start of Q3. Going into 2026, Wyatt Unfiltered will be at around 500 total views over one and a half quarters, so 500 more over Q1 and Q2 should be pretty attainable.
- Goal #3: Improve average views per post. I currently sit at around 15 views per post at the end of the first week, so getting it up to 30 (a 100% increase) would be amazing. If you enjoy the content, don't be afraid to share it!
Even though these goals can seem ambitious, they offer direction for 2026. The pillars of consistency, growth, and better engagement are what I'm building on, and I'm excited to see how far this blog can go.
Conclusion
Looking back on 2025, I'm grateful for every view, every share, every comment, and every person who was willing to take a few minutes out of their day to read the latest Wyatt Unfiltered blog post. This blog started as an experiment, but it's quickly become a place for me to learn, grow, and connect with others through ideas that matter to me. As I prepare to head into 2026, I have clearer goals and a better sense of direction than I did when I started this blog in September. I'm excited to keep building the momentum of 2025, whether you've been here since the first posts in early September or are just now joining in. Thanks for being part of the ride, and here's to another year of writing, experimenting, improving, and seeing just how far Wyatt Unfilitered can go.
